Heart CIC, a new arm of the London Hire Group of companies that works in partnership with Community Transport organisations, stepped in to provide fully accessible transport for the 2017 Invictus Games team launch event at the Tower of London yesterday morning.

Ten fully accessible London Hire midi coaches were required to transport GB team members, carers and Games Organisers to the Tower of London for the official launch with Prince Harry and then on to an awards brunch laid on for them in the heart of the City of London.

Following the recent events in Manchester, security for the event was understandably very high. Heart CIC partners, Harrow Community Transport and London Hire Community Services ensured the 320 attendees, including Prince Harry, arrived safely and on time for the morning’s events.

Business Development Manager, Chris commented, “We have been involved with transporting athletes and spectators travelling from all over the world in conjunction with an array of national and international wheelchair and disability sports events up and down the country since we began at the London 2012 Paralympic Games – we have become specialists in these type of accessible events. Being involved with the Invictus Foundation and Help for Heroes is something special for us, especially with the event taking place in the iconic and historic Tower of London. We feel so proud and privileged to be involved with such a wonderful event and the organisers can rest assured of our continued support with such worthy causes”.
